Knitted headband

One of my goals for this year was to make a vine pattern and here it comes. This model I have named Lingonberry for very obvious reasons. These are the first instructions I’ve made in English so please give feedback if there are some errors or if you find it unclear.

The pattern is visible also without any colors so you can knit this headband with one yarn only. It makes the pattern also slightly easier to do.

Keep your head warm without messing your hair.

Instructions

Size: Length 51cm

Needles: number 4, US6
Gauge: 10 cm = 20 stitches and 24 rows.

Yarn: Red (color 549) & Green (color 366) Novita 7 brothers, grey Novita Suomivilla (color 045).  The headband can also be made with only one color.

Cast on 23 stitches. At both ends make 4 garter stitches and then follow the pattern on the picture below. Repeat the pattern 5 times and then cast off. Sew cast on edge to cast off edge. You can also download the picture as pdf here.

Odd rows are right side and even wrong side.

For more detailed instructions how to do the twists check vogueknitting.com.

More about bobble stitch (berry) you can find here.

This is how the pattern in the image looks like in real life.
